Russwood gets in a pickle (and it's all good!)
Russwood are proud to announce a new partnership with BSW,and are now exclusive agents for Accoya cladding in Scotland. Accoya is BSW's brand name for timber modified with acetyl alcohol (for ease of explanation, a sophisticated type of vinegar, hence all the jokes in the office about getting ourselves in a pickle!)
This treatment results in timber that is exceptionally stable, non-toxic, easy to coat, and is guaranteed for 50 years. Like everything we supply, Accoya is environmentally-friendly and sustainably-sourced. For more details, please contact our Cladding Manager, Alaister Jeffrey
Russwood voted top supplier
Architectural magazine Prospect recently carried out its annual industry survey to find out how architects feel about the performance of other professionals in the industry. When asked to name the Scottish product supplier that has made the biggest impression on them in the last 12 months, the winner was Russwood. We are delighted to receive such positive recognition, and are determined to keep up the good work.

Small Business of the Year
On 5 November 2007 Russwood was announced as Highlands and Islands Small Business of the Year. The company was selected from a short-list of three, against stiff competition.
John Russell, Managing Director, said "We are delighted and very proud to have been chosen as Highlands and Islands Small Business of the Year. This is a fantastic recognition of the way the business has developed and the hard work of all the staff at Station Sawmill."
Russwood have decided to donate the £1500 prize money to Maggie’s Highlands Cancer Caring Centre, Inverness. John Russell commented. "Russwood was initially involved with the centre when we supplied larch timber cladding to the award-winning building by Page and Park Architects. Maggie’s Centre provides a truly excellent facility for those undergoing treatment and for family and friends supporting them and we are pleased to support the charity in this way."
We certainly don’t intend to rest on our laurels. That sustainable timber won’t supply itself!
