Investing in quality......New Timber Drying Shed

An increasing number of major projects throughout the UK are recognising the environmental, cost and aesthetic benefits of using timber cladding.
To meet this demand and ensure that we continue to supply the best quality timber cladding we have invested in building an additional timber drying shed.
The 540sqm drying shed will allow us to store more timber in the right conditions to ensure our graded timber is dried to the correct moisture content for projects around the country.
It will also help us meet the shorter lead times now being demanded by many of the projects we supply.
As you have probably guessed we will be using our own Scotlarch Timber Cladding to finish the shed – well the price was right!
For those of you who know the mill the drying shed is situated on the old railway siding immediately to the North of the sawmill and will be screened by the existing Spruces and 100 new Birch and Rowan saplings to be planted in the spring.
For those of you who don’t know the mill we always make new guests most welcome.
