Beaming with pride again at another TRADA certification

Cladding Sales Adviser John Smith has done us proud again and last week passed BM TRADA’s examination in visual strength grading of hardwood to BS 5756. Following his recent certification in grading softwood, John spent three further days at the BM TRADA training centre in High Wycombe, learning about visual strength grading of hardwood timber.
John is now certified to grade timber to requirements for both Structural Tropical Hardwood (HS) grade and Temperate Hardwoods (TH1, TH2 and THA, THB) grades. Translated, what this means for our customers is that Russwood offers certified assurance that the materials we deliver are fit for purpose. Because we do this in-house we have complete control over quality and can personally ensure that we supply the very best timber.
John can now apply his qualifications to grading Oak and other hardwood timbers here at Station Sawmill.
