Gripdeck Alliance agreed
We are pleased to announce a new alliance with Gripdeck Ltd, the UK’s leading manufacturer of anti-slip decking.
Russwood and Gripdeck have entered an agreement to manufacture, market and sell a unique high-quality anti-slip decking product to be known as Russwood Gripdeck.
The joint-venture, which covers Scotland and the north of England will be fronted by Russwood and will use sustainable home-grown species, such as Scottish Larch, for both large commercial (walkways, marinas etc), and smaller domestic projects.
Since Gripdeck developed the system of injecting resin and covering it with bauxite they have sold over 500,000m of anti-slip deck. Gripdeck will continue to supply anti-slip decking to central and southern England.
This is an exciting new venture for both Russwood and Gripdeck who plan to grow this market significantly, developing on the success of the product to date.
Russwood Sole Manufacturer in Scotland
Russwood have been working closely with Gripdeck for over a year and until now have been sending Russwood Scotlarch to southern England to have the anti-slip resin strips added.
The new joint venture sees Russwood bring the production of anti-slip decking in house to our Newtonmore Sawmill.
Importantly, Russwood will also be able to supply decking boards to customer specified lengths, thus reducing on site cutting and saving time and money in construction.
Non standard thicknesses are also available to order.
