We have wide ranging experience of working with Fire Retardant Cladding. When fire retardant cladding is required we use the Non Com process.
This process is ideal for exterior timber cladding, meeting all relevant British and European Standards.
Our fire retardant treated cladding retains its natural appearance, but can be painted or stained where necessary.
- The process meets the performance standard required by both class 1 and the more stringent class 0 standards.
- The water based polymer treatment is factory applied in controlled circumstances, delivering total quality control.
- There is no reduction in the strength of the timber and the process even results in a small improvement in the avoidance of fungicidal and insect attack.
- The retardant treatment is leach resistant and non hazardous, no halogens or sulphates are used.
- It is suitable for use with Plato Thermally Modified timber.
- Unlike other treatments there is little change in Hygroscopicity, meaning that it can be used in areas of high and fluctuating humidity.
- Because this is an additional kiln based process we recommend planning well in advance and ordering additional material.
- Additionally we offer the Dri Con process. However, becasue Dri Con is not waterproof it is only available when the cladding is going to be painted or used internally.
