Timber Cladding / Sustainable Hardwood

FSC Certified hardwood cladding. Ideal for architect design, low-maintenance and long lifespan. Durable and Structural Stability.

Ideal for high-quality, low-maintenance architectual designs.

Plato® Hardwood (Black Afara) is an exciting new modified timber ideal for cladding. It is an excellent alternative to the more costly exotic hardwoods.
It has a clean, clear look with no knots and has a consistent warm brown colour when new. Irregular black streaking gives the wood a distinctive natural high-quality finish.

The thermo-treatment process results in a dramatic improvement in the stability and durability of the wood – making it ideal for applications where the cladding is a key part of the architectural design, and a long, maintenance-free lifespan is important.

The heat treatment has an additional advantage that the cladding weathers very quickly to an even light grey colour.

Sustainable and FSC Certified

Plato®wood Fraké is a West African hardwood species sourced from FSC certified forests, which means you can choose Frake with confidence that you are not contributing to the destruction of the world’s endangered forests.
