Microtex®

Microtex® is a fibrous surface finish designed to provide optimal performance of SiOO:X coatings when applied to profiled SILA Select® Siberian Larch, Abodo, Architect Select® Larch and Thermopine®. Small incisions are applied to the face of the board, creating the fibrous appearance; this increases the surface area, providing superior coating adhesion to the whole board. Grain direction and tightness of the growth rings affect how prominent the fibres will appear. Additionally, a Microtex® finish ensures that unlike sawn-face profiles, there will be no variance in the size and shape of profiled boards as the finish is applied during the moulding process.
