Visit Russwood
Russwood’s offices, cladding and flooring display areas and production facility are based in the village of Newtonmore in the Scottish Highlands. We are always happy to welcome visitors, and we offer a variety of visit arrangements from domestic customers to architectural practices. Visiting our Newtonmore site allows for a more hands-on experience of our products, and a better understanding of timber.
During the winter months (November-March), we advise that you book a tour of our cladding and decking area no later than 3pm, to ensure you have enough time for a member of our team to guide you round before it gets dark.
Book your visit today by phone or email: 01540 673 648 / [email protected].
Please note tours are currently by appointment only.

Cladding & decking
Our cladding and decking display area hosts our product range, combining our range of timber species, profiles, finishes, coatings, paint systems, fixings and battening systems. One of our specialists will be available to advise you on the technical specification and detailing of our products. This is great to observe how different species, profiles and coatings can be utilised to achieve your desired effect with both cladding and decking. Further, our untreated displays demonstrate how each timber species weathers naturally over time.

Flooring showroom
Our dedicated flooring showroom houses our entire flooring range, including timber species, grades, finishes, sizes and colours. One of our experienced Flooring Advisors can show you around our extensive range of solid and engineered Oak flooring, and advise on fitting, laying and maintenance options.

The rest of the sawmill
For those who want more of an in-depth introduction to the stages involved in producing the finished timber products, we can show you around;
- The sawmill – where timber is re-sawn, graded, measured, and checked for moisture
- The planing mill – where specialist profiles are precisely machined to specification
- The paint-line – where cladding is coated in a factory controlled environment
- The drying shed – where timber is stored and monitored before dispatch
*This part of the tour is available for industry professionals by prior arrangement.
