Frequent knots give Scotlarch® a characterful appearance which is perfectly suited to more rustic and traditional aesthetics in ‘board on board’ and other simple arrangements.

Sorted and regraded in-house, ensuring that all boards are sapwood free on exposed faces for enhanced durability.
In ideal conditions, Scotlarch® will weather to a muted shade of silver/grey.
Sustainably sourced from well managed forests, within around 100 miles of our Highland sawmill. FSC®-certified.
Can be factory coated in SiOO:X original or pigmented versions, to achieve a weathered look at an accelerated rate.
Naturally durable (Class 3 BS EN 350-2).
We do not recommend painting Scotlarch.
Warm mix of colours ranging from pale orange to reddish brown. Frequent knots demonstrate its natural origins and provide a characterful, rugged appearance.
Medium - classified by BS EN 350-2 as approximately 556 Kg/m³ at a moisture content of approximately 18%.
Can be treated with fire retardant.
Suits designs aiming for a more rustic and traditional aesthetic in ‘board on board’ and other simple arrangements.
Moderate stability. Air-drying to approximately 16-18% allows optimum stability, as the timber is not subject to the stresses of kiln drying.
Can be produced in a planed, skimmed or wire brushed finish.

Learn moreUncoated Scotlarch® cladding starts from £26 per m² excluding VAT. Prices are based on a minimum quantity of 50 m² and coatings add an additional cost of approximately £20-25 per m². Prices are subject to change due to the fluctuating prices of timber and should be used as a guide only. For the most up-to-date prices please contact our sales team.
