Architects visits to Russwood: 5 benefits of visiting us in-person

Marketing Director

Our purpose is to help our customers achieve design excellence in the built environment. One way we do that is by ensuring architects understand the importance of good timber selection and detailing, giving them confidence using timber in their projects. We find the best way for architects to achieve this is by visiting our Newtonmore production facility in-person. In this blog, Claire Howie, lists some of the key benefits of an architects visit to Russwood.

1. Get a first-hand look at our products

Hard as we try to let architects see how our cladding looks with virtual samples, images of completed projects, and our cladding and flooring visualisers, there’s nothing quite like seeing first hand how our range of products look and feel in real life! Our bespoke office in Newtonmore is a great showcase for our products, both inside and out. See for yourself how our cladding and flooring will look in different orientations and styles, and with different surface finishes and coatings. Our Teams are on hand to take you on tours of our extensive Cladding, Decking and Flooring display areas and are always happy to help with their extensive technical knowledge.

2. See behind the scenes

At Russwood, we invest heavily in research and development. As well as seeing our range of products first-hand in our Cladding and Flooring display areas, visiting architects will see our research and test panels. Our testing facilities allow us to experiment with how different species perform in different orientations, and to explore new finishes and coatings. Furthermore, you’ll be able to visit our sawmill, planing mill and paint mill for a behind the scenes look at our production processes.

3. Build relationships with our team

We take great pride in our people at Russwood. Part of our recruitment process is to make sure that new members of the Russwood team will fit in well with our culture and values. Whilst our teams do a great job of building rapport with customers on the phone and via email, a visit to our offices and production facility is a great way to meet our teams and see them in situ, doing the jobs that they do best.

4. Learn about the range of services we offer to architects

We’re always excited to welcome visitors to Russwood. As well as showing you round our display areas, we can deliver CPDs for your teams, we can make meeting rooms available for you if you need to double up a visit with an internal meeting, and we’re happy for you to collaborate with other companies and practices and allow you the opportunity to share ideas and learn about what other companies are doing. Our marketing team are always looking to collaborate and maximise on opportunities to let customers see completed projects.
