Origin

Sustainably sourced from Central Europe, European Oak is considered to be the finest in the world due to its attractive colouring, figuring and durability properties.

Board options

Most colour options are available in two board types: solid or engineered. Both options have tongue and groove edges for easy installation. Engineered boards feature a Spruce core, which enhances the stability of the boards.

Laying styles

Most colour options are available in either plank or parquet boards, providing you with the freedom to lay them in a diverse range of compositions to align with your project’s vision.

Process

Russwood’s European Oak Flooring is the result of a combination of various manufacturing techniques, including semi-smooth, wire brushed and traditionally crafted. The boards are then skillfully complemented by the application of Osmo Hardwax Oil in your chosen colour. Discover the texture of the product through our immersive 3D samples.

Grades

All our Oak originates from the same high-quality raw material, thus, grade selection is purely an aesthetic choice. View grade options here.

Density

Classified by BS EN 350-2 as approximately 720 Kg/m³ at a moisture content of approximately 8-10%.

Finish

Our Oak boards come ready to lay with a pre-finished surface, treated with Osmo Hardwax Oil, available in a versatile selection of colours. From crisp whites to warm honeyed golden hues and deep, rich ebony shades, you can choose the finish that best complements your project vision.

Board sizes

Solid boards, measuring 20mm in thickness, are offered in widths of 120mm, 150mm, 170mm and 185mm.

Engineered boards come in two variations:

14mm thickness with a 3mm wear layer, available in widths of 190mm,  225mm and 245mm.

15mm thickness with a 4mm wear layer and a width of 190mm.

Finishing touches

We can produce stair treads, stair nosings, skirtings, thresholds and tables to unify spaces and match your exact specification.

Russwood’s European Oak Flooring is sustainably sourced from well managed forests and is PEFC certified.

Smoked Colours

A select few of our products are expertly smoked, with ammonia used to deepen the natural tone of oak and enhance its tonal variation. This process enriches the wood’s colour, creating a unique and visually stunning appearance.
