Excellent dimensional stability makes Thermopine Clear an excellent coated product, usually supplied coated in SiOO:X for grey tones, or a water-based oil for black or woodier tones. A brushed finish is recommended, adding texture, depth and character.
Thermopine Clear is an ideal choice for those seeking a clear grade of timber and a high-quality, long-lasting cladding that has minimal dimensional movement.
This cladding is crafted from radiata pine, which grows in FSC-certified plantation forests in New Zealand. Rich soils and high annual rainfall guarantee rapid growth and help it sequester more carbon than slow-growing tree species. And despite the distance this product has to travel to reach the UK, it remains carbon negative due to the growing conditions, its thermal modification and its long lifespan.

Finishes
Learn more about our range of cladding surface finishes; from smooth, planed boards, to textured finishes specifically developed to enhance coating performance.

Planed
Planed boards are run through our planing mill to create a smooth, dressed finish. View our profiles page for available types and sizes in all species.

Brushed
To create this effect, wire brushes are used to pull out the softer spring wood, exposing the harder summer wood, thus accentuating the grain and creating a beautifully textured surface.

Microtex®
A fibrous surface finish designed to provide optimal performance of SiOO:X coatings.
