SILA Select® Siberian Larch, with its excellent durability properties, attractive figuring and versatility is the cladding of choice for architects, contractors and self-builders seeking a superior cladding product. We select from the best available grades before re-grading in house to our exacting standards, ensuring the highest quality product.
Our current stock of Siberian Larch was procured pre-conflict and as such retains its FSC and PEFC accreditation and chain of custody.

SILA Select® Grade comes from the highest grade available, before being regraded in-house to our exacting standards. We guarantee your order will not contain any lower grades such as fourths or sawfalling.
In ideal conditions, if left uncoated, Siberian Larch will weather to a muted grey tone over time.
Sustainably sourced from well managed forests (FSC® or PEFC certified).
Can be factory coated in SiOO:X original or pigmented versions, to achieve a weathered look at an accelerated rate.
Naturally durable (Class 3 BS EN 350-2). Non-durable sapwood is graded out.
Can be factory coated in a choice of colours from Russwood’s Standard Colour Guide.
Clean and contemporary look with attractive figuring and few knots. Warm mix of colours from light reddish brown through to golden browns.
Extremely dense - classified by BS EN 350-2 as approximately 628 Kg/m³ at a moisture content of approximately 18%.
Can be treated with fire retardant.
Highly versatile, suitable for most types of cladding application.
Good stability, with the tightness of the growth rings and high proportion of late wood offering enhanced dimensional stability.
Can be produced in a planed, skimmed, wire brushed or Microtex® finish.
