Production Operative
About the role:
Working as part of our team of Production Operatives your main role will be to accurately grade and prepare orders for dispatch and assist with collection and delivery. You will be a flexible team worker supporting in a variety of departments including our sawmill, paint-line, planning mill, flooring dept and dispatch area.

Accountabilities
- Through team work and clear communication, you will ensure order deadlines are met, ensuring order accuracy and high levels of quality control.
- Responsible for keeping all tools and equipment within the department in good working order including the upkeep of full and detailed servicing/maintenance records for all machinery in the department.
- Proactively maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy work environment.
- Operation of forklift trucks to a high standard whilst complying to H&S policy.
- Minimising waste and ensuring efficient stock management.
- Proactively contribute to your area’s and the company’s continuous improvement.
About you
- You will be a team player with strong communication skills to allow friendly liaison with both colleagues and internal/external customers.
- You will be a problem solver who can assist in the constant improvement of production through innovative ideas.
- You will have a focus on accuracy ensuring all work instructions, processes and quality standards are met in line with Russwood’s ISO requirements.
- You will have awareness of your own health and safety along with that of your colleagues with a responsibility to report any H&S issues that may arise.
Salary and benefits
Annual Starting Salary £29,724
42.5 hours per week Monday – Friday based from our Newtonmore Production Facility
