Cladding and Decking Advisor
About the role:
As part of the Cladding Sales Team, you will work closely with Russwood’s customers (contractors, self builders and domestic customers) to determine their needs, answer their questions about our cladding, decking and fixings and offer guidance on the performance of our products. You will be able to respond to customer queries and deliver maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Cladding and Decking Sales Advisor, you should stay up-to-date with product features and technical innovations in our industry. Whilst advantageous, timber knowledge is not required since full training about cladding and Russwood specific products will be provided.

Accountabilities
- Assess customer’s needs to provide assistance, advice and technical information on how our range of cladding and decking products perform;
- Respond to inbound enquiries by phone and email, from our website and from repeat customers to drive sales whilst providing excellent customer service;
- Provide quotations, process sample requests and orders for cladding, decking and fixings, whilst ensuring communications and follow ups are recorded accurately through our CRM system to ensure accuracy of the sales pipeline;
- Build relationships with both internal and external customers to assist our buying and marketing teams, and maximise cross-selling opportunities with our flooring and internal cladding sales team;
- Engage with visiting customers and suppliers in a friendly and professional manner when conducting on-site tours of our cladding and decking display area.
About you
- You will be a strong communicator with good written English and Maths competency
- You will have great customer service skills with a polite and friendly manner and will be able to empathise with customer’s needs
- You will have good time management skills and be able to prioritise your workload
- You will be IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft suite of programmes and Teams
- You will be keen to learn new skills and develop a sound knowledge and enthusiasm for the company’s range of products
Salary and benefits
Annual Starting Salary £27,625
42.5 hours per week Monday – Friday from either of our Newtonmore or Glasgow offices.
