Red Grandis cladding
Grandis Select®
Grandis Select® is Russwood’s select grade of Eucalyptus Grandis, also known as Red Grandis. This clear grade hardwood is free of sapwood on the working face and virtually free of knots throughout. Pale pink tones and subtle figuring lending a refined, natural look to this versatile cladding. Grandis Select® is sustainably sourced from well managed forests, as well as being a fast growing, highly renewable species.

Weathering
In ideal conditions, when left uncoated, Grandis Select® will weather to a silver grey colour.

Fast-growing, highly renewable species. Sustainably sourced from well managed forests (FSC® certified).
SiOO:X coating
Can be factory coated in SiOO:X pigmented versions, to achieve a weathered look at an accelerated rate.
Durability
Naturally durable (Class 3 BS EN 350-2).
Paint coating
We do not recommend using paint coatings on Grandis Select®.
Appearance
Pale pink tones, with subtle figuring and few knots. Refined, natural look.
Density
Dense - classified by BS EN 350-2 as approximately 600 Kg/m³ at a moisture content of approximately 18%.
Fire retardant coating
Not currently suitable for treatment with fire retardant.
Application
Highly versatile, suitable for most types of cladding application.
Stability
Good stability, medium movement class.
Surface finishes
Can be produced in a planed, skimmed or Microtex® finish.

Grandis Select® starts from £48 per m² excluding VAT. Prices are based on a minimum quantity of 50 m² and coatings add an additional cost of approximately £20-25 per m². Prices are subject to change due to the fluctuating prices of timber and should be used as a guide only. For the most up-to-date prices please contact our sales team.

Yes. Russwood’s dedicated Architect Liaison Team assists architects with selecting the best timber cladding species, coatings and fixings for their projects, ensuring both the performance and aesthetic requirements are met.
