KompeFix® creates ventilated gaps between timber boards used for cladding and decking.
L-GoFix® A2 Screws
Patented L-GoFix® A2 screws are precision milled from A2 grade stainless steel. A2 grade stainless steel provides inherent corrosion protection for most exterior timber cladding and decking applications.
The sharp flanks of the screw thread allow optimum anchoring without causing the timber to split and the precision milled splines on the shaft ensure that Scotlarch®, Thermopine®, and Accoya® do not require pre-drilling. We would however recommend pre-drilling high density softwoods such as Siberian Larch.
The small diameter of the flush-drilling 3-step head allows for a clean, consistent detailing within your project. Tip: for optimum wood protection by way of enhanced ventilation, and in order to reduce the shearing pressure on screws (due to natural movement of the wood), we recommend the use of KompeFix®.
Special applications in close proximity to salt water or chlorine rich environments (eg swimming pools) should opt for a marine grade L-BohrFix® MB A4 screws.
