Explore Russwood: Your guide to our visit options
At Russwood, we strive to ensure that our customers choose the best products to perfectly complement the design of their project. One of the best ways to do this is to come and meet us in person and find out more about the products we can offer you. In this blog, Connor Silcock, Marketing Assistant, explains the different types of visits we offer depending on your needs, and how they can benefit you.

Self-builders and home owners
We offer self-builders and home owners a number of different visits at our Newtonmore office. If it’s cladding or decking that you’re looking for, we can offer a tour of our outdoor cladding and decking display area, where you can explore our full range of products and see how they look up close – you’ll be guided by one of our Cladding & Decking Sales Advisors, who will explain your options and answer any questions you may have.
If you’re looking for flooring, or interior cladding, we can offer you a tour of our showroom, which is home to our flooring selection, and interior cladding range, giving you an opportunity to see, feel, and compare all of your options in person, and side-by-side. You’ll be shown around by one of our experienced Flooring & Interior Cladding Advisors, who will tell you everything you need to know about our flooring, and which options work best for your project depending on your requirements.
Visits to Newtonmore are by appointment only. To find out more, click here.
Molly was patient and listened well, showing us various samples and drawing our attention to ones we had not considered. Molly was kind, professional and extremely knowledgeable. She was able to answer our many questions and allowed us time to take in the various options. She gave us confidence that in buying from Russwood it is likely to be a unique, personal and stress-free experience.

Architects and Interior Designers
Architects and Interior Designers are also welcome to come and tour our outdoor cladding and decking display area, and our flooring and interior cladding showroom in Newtonmore, to find out more about all of the products we offer, and the importance of selection and detailing. We can also provide specification advice, to help you select the best timber cladding, flooring, decking, and fixings for your project, making sure that performance criteria and aesthetic are being met.
For those who are unable to travel to Newtonmore, we also offer consultations and meetings with our Architect and Interior Project Liaison teams at our central Glasgow office. Meetings and appointments at our Glasgow and Newtonmore offices must be booked in advance and it’s important to note that we do not offer product or showroom tours in Glasgow.

Professional visits
We offer professional visits at our Newtonmore office, by appointment only, where you can see what goes on behind-the-scenes at our state-of-the-art production facilities.
Architects, contractors, and industry professionals who wish to seek a deeper understanding of our production process, are invited to come and join us for a tour with one of our timber specialists. You’ll take a look at our sawmill, planing mill, paint-line and drying shed, giving you an insight to the entire timber production process – from grading, to machining and finishing.
You will also be able to visit our cladding and decking display area, and our flooring and interior cladding showroom too. These tours are for industry professionals, architects, and contractors only, by appointment only.
Where possible we look to use locally sourced and low embodied carbon materials on projects. This week some of the Inverness studio made a trip to Russwood in Newtonmore for a tour around the workshops and production areas. It was a great opportunity to hear about timber as a cladding material and Russwood’s sustainability credentials. Thanks to John, Charlotte and Thea for the tour!
