Created by Thea, Molly and Jodie – three design-obsessed minds from our flooring and interiors team – the Signature Collection is a unique new addition to Russwood’s flooring range. Designed to celebrate the character and versatility of natural oak, each of the five new floors has its own story, aesthetic and design potential. This is not part of our standard range. Signature is something extra special – crafted with care, designed to inspire, and built to perform in beautiful, high-end interiors. Some boards are bold and rustic, others are refined and understated. Whether you’re working on a serene minimalist space or a richly layered interior, this collection gives you the foundation to build something truly exceptional.

Crafted for character

Our Signature Oak Flooring is made of material from well-managed, FSC®-certified forests and other controlled sources (FSC licence code FSC-C017490).⁠ To maximise the yield from each log and minimise wastage, we use a combination of quarter-sawn and flat-sawn cutting techniques. This not only makes efficient use of the timber but also brings out a rich variety of natural features – from fine, linear rays to more open and expressive grain structures.

Each of the five variants has its own unique character, created through careful selection, processing, and finishing. The result? A curated palette of colour, grain and texture options to suit a wide range of interior styles.

All floors in the Signature range are finished with a bespoke blend of hardwax oils to protect and enhance the timber.

Additionally, the Signature Collection includes Douglas Fir flooring, a favourite that’s not new to the range but is special in its own way. With its distinctive pale hue, flame-like grain patterns and generous board width, it’s a go-to choice for serene, Scandinavian-inspired interiors – offering a refined contrast to the bolder textures of the oak designs.

Meet the Signature Collection

Each of the floors is named after a key moment in Russwood’s early history, an echo of our long-standing commitment to quality.

Signature ‘90 – This floor retains the most raw and authentic features of an oak board. It comes in a pale finish yet is bursting with life, and uses bows to create a feature out of any large splits.

Signature ‘91 – A dark brown board with a pale grain and a rustic, organic feel thanks to the intentional band saw marks, this floor is full of character and texture. Perfect for high-traffic areas.

Signature ‘92 – Ideal for cosy interiors, this characterful floor is lightly brushed and comes in a rich chocolatey brown colour.

Signature ‘93 – Using a traditional smoking technique, this product is left in the kiln for several weeks, resulting in an unparalleled deep and varied warm dark brown tone. Subtle brushing accentuates the oak grain.

Signature ‘94 – Ideal for minimalist interiors, this prime-grade white floor is roughly sawn to give it character. Subtle knots and beautifully highlighted figuring add to its elegance.

Engineered for impact

With Signature, we’ve pushed the boundaries of what’s possible with engineered oak flooring.

Board widths up to 400mm (compared to 245mm in our current range)
Plank lengths up to 8 metres, long enough to span the full length of a room, creating a seamless aesthetic with minimal joins
Flexible laying options, including chevron, herringbone and whalebone patterns. Whalebone is an extra-large version of herringbone that has a powerful visual impact. It’s achievable with our Signature range thanks to the large board widths.

The result? Longer, wider planks create a clean, expansive feel – perfect for modern interiors that value simplicity and scale.

Our team is here to support specifiers every step of the way. Jodie Wight, our Interior Project Liaison Technician, works directly with architects and designers to ensure performance and aesthetic goals are met. In addition, we offer K21 NBS documentation to support specification.

Zoë Armstrong

Marketing & Events Coordinator

Zoë Armstrong is Russwood’s Marketing and Events Coordinator, where she combines creativity, strategic thinking, and attention to detail to deliver impactful brand experiences. She plays a key role in shaping and executing Russwood’s event strategy - planning and coordinating events that engage architects and industry professionals with insightful, design-led content.

Zoë graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA in History, and joined Russwood's Glasgow office as a Marketing Assistant before stepping into her current role. She also oversees the content calendar, managing blogs, case studies, and website updates that highlight technical expertise and showcase inspiring timber projects. Her work ensures a consistent and compelling brand presence across all digital platforms.

Beyond Russwood, Zoë is Events and Communications Ambassador for CIM (The Chartered Institute of Marketing) Scotland, supporting initiatives that engage and connect Scotland’s marketing community.
