Grade 304 nails have smooth clipped heads and diamond points, which prevent the wood from splitting.
Grade 304 Ring Shank Nails
These nails can be used with all of Russwood’s timber cladding products and are suitable for most timber cladding installations.
- Stainless steel offers inherent corrosion protection, minimises bending and reduces splitting
- Annular ring shank threads ensure that the boards do not cup, the nail heads do not pop and the nails can be driven flush without crushing the surrounding wood
- Diamond patterned/diffracted heads ensure a better blend with the wood grain, diffract sunlight and enable superior paint adhesion
We would always recommend that you select a nail which meets the above criteria, particularly with regard to the material, as the coating on galvanised or coated steel screws can be damaged during driving, resulting in unsightly rust staining.
