Imbue™

Imbue™ cladding stands out as a high-quality alternative to old-growth Western Red Cedar. Grade

Imbue is a high-quality clear grade cladding created from thermally modified New Zealand plantation timber.

Weathering

Imbue is usually supplied coated, however if left to weather naturally, it will turn to a light grey colour over time.

Sustainability

Rapidly renewable species which is sustainably sourced from fast-growing New Zealand plantation timber. FSC certified. EPD available.

SiOO:X coating

Imbue™ is ideal for factory coating with SiOO:X, to achieve a weathered look at an accelerated rate.

Durability

Outstanding durability (Class 1 - 3 BS EN 350-2) due to thermal modification.

Coatings

Available coated in SiOO:X Light Grey and Mid Grey or Original. Also suitable also for coating with Woca oil.

Appearance

A clear grade timber which is free of knots and has attractive figuring.

Density

Low - classified by BS EN 350-2 as approximately 420 Kg/m³ at a moisture content of approximately 6-8%.

Fire retardant

Suitable for treatment with fire retardant.

Application

Highly versatile, suitable for most types of cladding application. For wider or heavy sections, Abodo Vulcan Vertical Grain is recommended. Various lengths, including fixed lengths, available from stock.

Stability

Thermal treatment results in good stability. Additionally, narrower 100mm and 125mm boards offer additional stability over wider flatsawn boards.

Surface finishes

Can be produced in wire brushed, planed or a Microtex® finish.

How much is Imbue™ cladding?

Uncoated Imbue cladding starts from £57 per m² excluding VAT. Prices are based on a minimum quantity of 50 m² and coatings add an additional cost of approximately £20-25 per m². Prices are subject to change due to the fluctuating prices of timber and should be used as a guide only. For the most up-to-date prices please contact our sales team.

Yes, Russwood’s dedicated Architect Liaison Team can assist architects with selecting the best timber cladding species, coatings and fixings for their projects, ensuring both the performance and aesthetic requirements are met.
