Gareth Davies is Head of Technical and R&D at Russwood, where he leads on product innovation and provides expert technical guidance to clients, specifiers, and colleagues. His areas of expertise include wood science, coatings, fire retardants, fixings, and the performance of timber in the built environment.
Gareth recently achieved a Distinction in the Level 4 Certificate in Wood Science and Timber Technology - earning the highest score in the course’s history! With a strong foundation in material performance and sustainability, Gareth plays a pivotal role in advancing Russwood’s product development and technical strategy.
He is also a regular contributor to industry panels and events, where he shares insight into the future of timber in construction.
