Stainless Steel Annular Ring Shank Nails
These nails can be used with all of Russwood’s timber cladding products and are suitable for most timber cladding installations.
- Grade 304 (A2) Stainless steel offers suitable corrosion protection for most exterior timber cladding applications. Special applications in close proximity to salt water or chlorine rich environments (eg swimming pools) should opt for a marine grade (grade 316 /A4) stainless steel fixing.
- Annular ring shank threads give superior resistance to withdrawal than standard smooth shank nails, ensuring they do not work their way loose over time.
- Diamond points, designed to minimise the risk of splitting around the fixing point.
- Diffracted/cross hatched nail heads diffuse sunlight, minimising their visibility and allowing them to blend better with the timber.
We would always recommend that you select a nail which meets the above criteria, particularly with regard to the steel grade, as the coating on galvanised fixings can be damaged during driving or over time, resulting in unsightly rust staining.
